Challenging event for Randonnee competitors. Divisions for Men
& Women, Pro and Recreational.
The Pro Course will cover approximately 5,000 vertical feet of climbing and the Recreational Course will cover approximately 2,100 vertical.
Mandatory Competitor Meeting, Friday February 1st at 5:30 PM. Bozeman Public Library - 626 East Main St. Must be 18 to enter.
All competitors must have the following equipment during the race:
*457 kHz Avalanche Transceiver
*Skins for Ascending--No Snowshoes. Booting is only allowed where specified.
*Avalanche Shovel
*Backpack
*Skis with metal edges or splitboard
*Skis and splitboards must have adequate retention devices or brakes.
*Helmet--must be properly worn and fastened during the competition.
*Avalanche Probe or Probe Poles
Safety inspection on race day begins at 7:30, Race start is 8:30 am for all competitors.
*****In the event of significant snowfall Friday evening or Saturday prior to the event start, the race will be postponed until Sunday February 3rd.*****
